Six Word Saturday

I haven't done one of these in a while.

I haven't blogged yet again in a while.

Ho hum.

Shopping. Is not for the weak.

There is it.

I H.A.T.E. shopping.  Any shopping really if I am going to be brutally honest.

The only thing that gets me to the grocery store is the need for nourishment.  Sometimes it's fun because it is a bit of a break (being that I can go it alone with no kids hanging off me). Sometimes it is fun when I have lots of coupons and I know I am going to save a boatload of money (kinda a competition from week to week).  But normally shopping, don't like it so much.

I especially don't like clothes shopping.  I can't even tell you the last time I went to the mall.  If I have to go into a store other than a grocery store, I get what I intended to and get out!  No window shopping, no strolling, no browsing.  I know not normal, right?  Sorry.  I never said I was normal.

But I have to go shopping today.  If not for me at least for the littles.  They are in need of some new socks, underwear and Hayden has grown quite a bit so his pants are starting to look like he is waiting for a flood. It is probably time.

So wish me luck please.

What "normal" task do you find frustratingly boring?

Remember when you were a kid and you used to hide in the clothing racks?
I still want to do that so I don't have to shop.
Can I please?

  1. I had to laugh at the part about hiding in the clothes racks! Ha! My youngest daughter used to do that all of the time and it would give me a panic when I couldn't find her! But seriously...I love to shop...IF I am in the mood! But I like to do it alone so that I can browse and enjoy looking! When my hubby goes with me he wants to just go fast and get it done! :)

I hope your shopping trip today will turn out good and you will be successful in finding the things your kiddos need.

May God give you a special blessing today!

  3. I remember my brothers used to hide in the clothes racks. I don't mind shopping as long as I can wander and enjoy the walking... Although, when we do go shopping my hubby wants to get in and out as fast as possible.

  4. My grandsons love to run through the racks and feel the clothes. I don't shop much now except for groceries and yarn.

    1. I definetly do not take the kiddos with me (not most of the time anyways). No offense to my off spring but since I am not fond of shopping anyways, think I would be really setting myself up for failure. Thanks for stopping by.

  5. Shopping for a pair of jeans or a bra that fits is a job in itself and not my idea of fun! I can hardly believe that I used to spend whole afternoons at the mall when I was younger.

    1. I know right. I couldn't wait to go to the mall as a younger kid/teenager, now you have to pay me a lot of money to get me in that door.

  6. I actually prefer when Katie goes with me. She helps me get what we need. She carries the list. Because when I go in by myself I get stuff that I want because somewhere in the store is my shopping list and I have no clue where and I can't remember what was on my list unless I see it when I walk by.

    1. Jamie, you crack me up! I have to take a list when grocery shopping otherwise spend way too much and forget half of what I need.
