It's that time of year. Country fair time.
Ohh the smells of hot dogs, cow manure, and sweaty people, I can hardly wait!
And...I'll have an order of Deep Fried Butter on a Stick with a side of clogged arteries and I will wash it down with a heart attack, please.
I am not on a diet or anything (although I probably should be) and I do like to munch on fair food when I am at the fair but Deep Fried Butter on a Stick? Yuck! I can't believe people really eat this. It apparently is a hot seller at the Iowa State County Fair. It has been all over the news lately. People are comparing it to french toast? Really?
I will stick with my *sugar high* from Carmel Apples & Cotton Candy, thank you.

See! I agree with you. Deep Fried Butter on a Stick just does not sound all that good to me..... Now, fried pickles, YUM!
ReplyDeleteHopefully we're headed to the fair today. I think I'll stay away from the fried food, but I've always wanted to try the deep-fried snickers and I wouldn't mind trying the butter. Maybe it's because I'm from Iowa. :)
ReplyDeleteI had some deep fried reeses last weekend and the Eden Corn Festival. My daughter would eat deep fried butter I'm pretty sure. If I don't watch her around butter she'll just eat ity right up:)

On the other hand, fair food!? LOVE. Haven't had fair food in a VERY long time.
Funnel Cake, Waffles and Ice cream, Chocolate covered cheescake, FAIR FRENCH FRIES!!!!
Now I'm hungry.
