So eloquent.
On paper or screen.
They paint a picture.
They tell a story.
They share an emotion.
They console.
They hurt.
They linger in the back of your mind sometimes forever.
Words.
They create memories.
Good.
Bad.
Indifferent.
Words.
They sometimes are more damaging than you think.
Words.
They can not be taken back.
THINK before you speak.
I vote this as the best and strongest post of the year!
ReplyDeleteI am always afraid of the one dumb, offhand, in anger thing I am going to say to my kid that just crushes her, you know? Hopefully there's a bed of love underneath to catch it.

Excellent post! I think it can be easy to make excuses for our words when we're frustrated or stressed. An important reminder.
ReplyDeleteSo very true - thank you for this reminder.

It really is a challenge to try to slow yourself down when you feel that bubble starting to come up and consume you and whoever happens to be there at the time. I have mellowed as time goes by but sometimes the foot still goes in the mouth! Stopping by from the blog hop and new follower thru GFC and would love a follow back when you get the chance. I have one giveaway ending tomorrow and another on the 20th. I would love for you to come over and enter before it is too late. Thanks for all your help and have a great week!
