Wheels For Shannon-Update
More than one million people submitted and voted for their Local Heroes, as part of the inaugural National Mobility Awareness Month. The program is now closed and the top 10 percent of entries with the most votes are being reviewed.
Thanks to you and many others, Shannon Thomas from Portland, Oregon has made it into the semi finals. Now onto the next round. Although all of them are just as deserving only three can win.
The three finalists will be contacted by a National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) representative in the coming weeks, and the three Local Heroes will be announced publicly in early June. Please watch for updates on the NMEDA Facebook page. Should you have questions on the program's rules and regulations, please visit http://www.nmeda.com/mobility-awareness-month/rules.
Let us pray for not only Shannon but also all the Local Heroes that they will find ways to continue to spread awareness about people overcoming their disablities to live an active, mobile lifestyle.
