I did another successful 20/20/20/20 grocery trip. I spent $83.61 on groceries for the week for a family of 6 (sometimes 7 when Kyleigh’s boyfriend eats with us). This week I had barely any coupons too so I was uber excited to see my total. I made sure pretty much everything I purchased was on sale and as always produce all under $1.00lb.
I shopped at our local Safeway and here are the meals that I will be making this week so you can see not really skimping on much.
Sunday:
Pan Seared Pork Chops (bought the large extreme pack because the price per lb is considerably less; have a few left over to use for another dinner)
Garlic Penne Pasta
Green Salad
Monday:
Chili and Cornbread (I have cheese left over from last week that is still good so will use that to sprinkle some yummy cheese on the chili) And sour cream! Can't forget the sour cream....
Tuesday:
Grilled Cheese
Tomatoe Soup
Wednesday:
Breakfast for Dinner
Thursday:
Pork Chops in Mushroom Sauce (left over chops from big package)
Brown Rice
Green Beans
Friday:
Ham & Cheese Panini (made with my George Forman grill)
Pasta Salad
Saturday:
Crockpot Beef Stew
Biscuits
It’s like a game to me now, going grocery shopping. Always trying to out save myself from previous week. Grocery shopping is starting to become fun. Did I just say that?
Cheers to shopping and saving money!
I love your ideas for dinner and I'm very impressed at what you're spending. I actually spend that just on my daughter's lunches for the week and a couple of dinners. I'm so horrible at organizing meal ideas and therefore I really do spend too much. I'm thinking that you really are superwoman, but you just don't know it yet! thanks for sharing your ideas. Keep 'em coming!
