I am feeling like these confessional posts are coming much more frequently. Not sure if that is a good thing or not but since this is the premise of my blog I *guess* it is fine.
Have you read my others 1, 2, 3, 4?
1. I received a basket full of starter garden plants (tomatoes, green beans, cucumbers) for my birthday (May 12) and only on Tuesday (May 24) did they FINALLY get transplanted into our garden. Unfortunately, the delay and lack of being watered did one of the cucumber plants in. Nobody told me they needed to be watered!
2. As I was going through some of Miss K's clothes this past week I noticed that there are still some 3-6 and 6-9 months sizes mixed in. A Lot. She is just over a year wearing 12-18 months so I think it is about time I purge the clothes and swap them on ThredUP.
3. I shaved my legs last night. I hadn't shaved them in like two weeks. I know kinda gross but not like I have been wearing shorts or anything since it has been RAINING like every day. Furthermore, shaving just takes too much time when showering. I am lucky if I have 5 uninterrupted minutes in the shower so the last thing I want to do is waste it shaving! Trees for me, thanks!
4. I still have a small picture frame on my entertainment center that has the picture of the original baby in it. It is a frame that I received at Miss Ks baby shower over a YEAR ago. Cute baby, but not Miss K.
5. I finally cleaned out my coupon envelopes. After going to the store this past week and trying to redeem some coupons from March, I thought it was probably time that this be done. Worse thing to have happen when shopping with coupons is to get up to the check stand with product and coupon that has expired. Ughh!
Do you have some non superwoman moments you want to share?
Don't be shy!

So you confession list was more like a check list for me. I can relate! I have spent hours planting and taking care of seeds only to kill them all.
ReplyDeleteI'm also extremely behind on my clothes sorting. I still haven't put my maternity clothes away and my baby is 15-months. Though, in my defense, I was still wearing them until a few month ago!
Hi! This is Kelly from I've Become My Mother. I hope this is the first time I commented regarding this. We have a dear friend whose daughter needs a bone marrow transplant - Could you please share her story on your blog, Facebook, and Twitter. Your prayers are very much needed... Thank you so much!

Well...if we're being honest here: *I made my 5 year old wear shoes that were TOO SMALL the other day b/c we don't have any that fit him! It happened out of nowhere, and I refuse to pay full price for a pair of boy's shoes that he will outgrow in 3 weeks. *My kid is one of the only kids on the tee ball field without cleats. Same reason as above. {hopefully he won't notice.} *This week, we've eaten pancakes for probably 4 meals b/c I'm a)too lazy & b) too busy to make something else or go to the grocery store.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm thinking I should write a confessional post. Anyway - thanks for making me feel better.
PS - I did find a pair of shoes in the garage I'd been saving. Also, my 5 year old learned to tell Momma when his shoes are starting to ache.
I too have a frame with the original photo in it...and I have plenty of pics that could go in there. What's up with that?? I am a new follower, hope you will visit: http://childhoodmyths.net/blog
