At Which I Scratch My Head....

Not that I want to complain by any means...NO WAY.  I WILL.NOT complain.  I will however scratch my head because I am a little puzzled.

OK, so you all know that I have been trying to lose some weight since the new year.  It was not a resolution by any means because those of course are meant to be broken.  My weight loss was going to be a life change.

--->>>Eat better.

--->>>Portion control.

--->>>Exercise more.

--->>>Drink more water.

You know the drill, right?

So then if you have been reading my blog for any length of time, you know that I have completely fallen off the wagon so to speak.  I started a new job a couple months ago (mid Feb) and ever since then because of my new hours (for the most part), I have very limited time in the late afternoon/evening to exercise (much)....Long story short, although I have been more conscious to my eating choices, portion control, etc...still not drinking nearly enough water ...but......even with that, I have lost another 20 or so pounds since the last time I weighed in!

I got on the scale today over at my mother in laws house and had to ask her if it was broken.  That is how stunned I was.  I thought for sure that I wasn't losing anything rather feeling kinda sluggish lately and packing it back on...but no siree bob.

I am still in shock.  And this gives me hope that even the small changes can make a difference (not to mention I think part of my weight gain was due to stress from my other job too).

I am almost half way to my goal!  I am so excited!  I can visualize my goal weight...it is within my grasp.

How are you doing on your weight loss goals?

  1. Yay you! Different focus, ie the new job and from what I read lots of busyness in your life adds up to weight loss with little effort.

    Well done and keep going

  2. Good for you!! I lost 5 pounds before my trip to Mexico and was so worried I would put it right back on...but I didn't. And since I've been home I've lost another 2. It's motivating to have momentum, isn't it?

  3. That is so great. Good for you. It's just not easy. I'm losing a few I gained on our cruise and a few I gained before the cruise. Almost gone they. Yay us.

  4. I'm not trying to lose weight but I have been training for a 5k and just completed my first one this past Saturday. 5k isn't a lot for some girls but for this one I was pretty stoked. Great job on your weight loss! #TALU

  6. Congratulations! They say stress makes you store the fat, so maybe it's not that new job stress is making you lose it but that the old job stress was keeping it on?? Way to go!! :) [#TALU]
