We were discharged from the PICU yesterday morning only to return a few hours later. Once the steroids wore off, K's bronchial area swelled back up and she couldn't breath again very well. We are now in the Acute Ped area. She was given another dose of steroids, nebulizer and antibiotics for any other underlying infections. She slept most of the night.
We will be reevaluated in a couple more hours to determine the next step.
